(2019). Cardboard, plastic bags, glass, cork, dried flowers, dirt, chalk pastel, acrylic paint.

“Atabey” means ‘Mother Earth’ in the language of the Taíno Indians (the indigenous people that inhabited Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, and Puerto Rico). We used recycled materials including paper and plastic bags, cardboard and glass, creating this piece to embody the goddess. This piece was displayed at the Eco-Art Showcase in Brooklyn.
