La Loma

[The Hill] The artist overlays an image of her father onto his childhood home in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, a physical space that no longer exists. Though baseball and music have taken him around the world, Puerto Rico remains at the heart of who he is. The painting reflects on the roots that continue to shape us long after we have leave home.

This artwork was featured as the wine label for Bernie’s Blend in collaboration with Millbrook Vineyards & Winery, bringing their family’s story to each bottle.
